Preparation of a Manual on the Civil Procedure Law
The Judges’ Forum of Serbia has successfully completed a project supported by the Embassy of the Netherlands, which aimed to prepare a Manual on the Civil Procedure Law.
The project addresses the needs of judges in the area of procedural support in an innovative way, aimed at enabling judges to increase efficiency, shorten the duration of proceedings, and improve legal certainty. Therefore, the project will develop an effective, accessible, and understandable tool that will assist judges in their daily work, particularly in the area of the Civil Procedure Law and its application. In a broader context, the results will contribute to strengthening legal certainty for citizens in court proceedings and will standardize and improve the quality of the application of civil procedure provisions.
More specifically, the Manual will serve as a useful tool in the daily work of judges, and it will address, in a practical manner and with examples of good practice, issues such as the proper drafting of claims, service of documents, costs of proceedings, deficiencies in the content of minutes, and the conduct of main hearings. The Manual is primarily intended for newly appointed judges as well as judges with limited experience in civil matters, but it will also certainly be useful for judges with many years of experience.
